The W25Q256JV is Winbond's 256Mb (32MB) NOR Flash chip, offering the same proven W25Q architecture as the popular W25Q128/64/32 series but with doubled capacity. It features a 4-byte addressing mode (required for >128Mb densities) and supports SPI, Dual SPI, and Quad SPI (QPI) interfaces at up to 133 MHz.

In drone applications, the W25Q256 provides 32MB of blackbox flash storage — capable of storing several hours of high-rate Betaflight/ArduPilot blackbox logs. It's the preferred choice for FC boards targeting professional pilots who require extended logging sessions.
