The AT24C256 is a classic 256Kb I²C EEPROM by Microchip (Atmel), used in drone systems for storing persistent calibration data, sensor offsets, flight parameters and configuration values that must survive power cycles. Its wide 1.7–5.5V operation and standard I²C interface make it universally compatible with STM32, ESP32, Arduino and any drone flight controller.
